In 2020, the Church of the Intercession turned 200 years old! This is the only preserved Orthodox Wooden church in the territory of the Shklovsky district.

Today, the Intercession Church has retained its original appearance, although without the belfry and bells. The temple has a cross-domed shape and stands on a low stone foundation. The walls of the building are cut down from beams and sheathed, and the rectangular window openings are decorated with simple ornaments. In front of the main entrance there is a porch with a gable canopy on double pillars.

During the time of the Russian Empire, the Church of the Intercession became an important stop for pilgrims, including pupils of the Orsha Theological College, who were on their way to the Belynichi Monastery. In 1911, the pilgrimage route passed through the Shklov region, including stops at the churches of Shklov, Vodva and Lozitsy.

After the October Revolution of 1917, the fate of the temple changed. The building was used as a grain warehouse, and then they showed movies and danced in it. However, in 1941, the church was reopened and has not been closed since, preserving its spiritual significance for local residents.

In the 90s, the church underwent major repairs, thanks to which the walls were painted and the floor replaced. This became possible thanks to the support of the deputy of the Shklov district Vladimir Konoplev.

The Church of the Intercession is included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Belarus and is protected by the state as a monument of religious architecture, continuing to remain an important part of the cultural and spiritual heritage of the region, attracting tourists.
