Description
In the village of Bogushovka, Bobruisk district, there is a wooden Orthodox Church of the Intercession. The temple was built during the Russian Empire in the 19th century. The church was built by the Old Believers who came to these places from Russia.
In Soviet times, the church was closed. The temple was built in the traditions of Belarusian folk wooden architecture. The church is active.
There is a 19th-century stone post office building on the main highway. The monument was erected according to a standard design.

Bogushovka. The Intercession Church.
A wooden Orthodox church has been built in the Bobruisk region in the village of Bogushovka. The church was consecrated in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos. The place is located on the Bobruisk-Slutsk highway, and it is very easy to see the monument.
The place has been known since the time of the Russian Empire since the 19th century. In 1818, it was part of the Gorbatsevichi volost of the Bobruisk district of the Minsk province. At that time, there were 52 males in the village. In 1846, Bogushovka belonged to the Bykovsky gentlemen.
At the beginning of the 20th century, there were 195 inhabitants and 23 courtyards. At that time, a parish school was opened. The Orthodox church was working. In 1930, the local collective farm "Red pilot" was established.
The road divides the town into two parts: Old Believers live on one side, and Belarusians on the other. The Old Believers came here from Russia and built a wooden Old Believer church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village. The temple was built in 1860. In Soviet times, in the 1930s, the shrine was closed.
Today, Vladimir Vorobyov has been working as a priest at the temple since 1990. The monument was erected in the traditions of folk wooden architecture. It consists of a basic rectangular volume. An octagonal bell tower has been erected above the main facade.
