Description

Famous Belarusian writer and public figure Ales Adamovich (1926-1994) is buried in the local cemetery in the village of Glusha in the Bobruisk region. The writer spent his childhood and youth in Glusha. From here he joined the partisans during the Great Patriotic War. Famous films about the war were shot based on Adamovich's books: "Go and See", "Sons Go into Battle" and others.

In 2019, a monument to A. Adamovich was erected in Glusha near the House of Culture. The house of the writer's family has been preserved. The bus stop of A. Adamovich has been decorated.
A memorial boulder has been erected on the writer's grave.

    The famous Belarusian writer Ales Adamovich is buried in the local cemetery in the village of Glusha in the Bobruisk region. 

A. Adamovich (1926 – 1994) was a writer, scientist, screenwriter, publicist, public figure, professor, Doctor of Philology.

Adamovich was born in Kopyl district in the family of a doctor. Since 1928, the Adamovich family has been living in the village of Glusha. Adamovich went to school here.


            During the Nazi occupation, the writer's mother, Anna Mitrofanovna, was an underground worker. She was the head of a pharmacy in Glusha, and she handed over medicines to the partisans. In early 1943, she and her two sons went to the forest to join the partisans in the S. Kirov detachment.

Ales Adamovich served as a private soldier in a partisan detachment in 1943-1944. After the war, he studied at BSU. He graduated from graduate school. He worked as a researcher at the Kupala Institute of Literature. He graduated from the Higher Screenwriting Courses in Moscow.


     In 1970, a feature film based on the screenplay by A. Adamovich "Sons go into battle" was released. Directed by Viktor Turov. The film features singer and songwriter Vladimir Vysotsky. In 1984, the filming of the film "Go and See" based on Adamovich's script took place. The script is based on the works "Punishers" and "Khatyn Tale".

         He was buried in Glusha at the local cemetery near his parents.
