Vitebsk. Victors Park.
Victors Park is a picturesque setting of Victory Square in Vitebsk. It is cozy, spacious and harmonious, creating an atmosphere of peace and joy for its guests.
The park is home to the Alley of Military Glory, a unique open-air museum featuring exhibits from the past and present of the Armed Forces. Military equipment from the Great Patriotic War and the post-war period is presented here, including 13 exhibits. Among them are the ZIS-2 and ZIS-3 guns of the 1941-1942 model.
The alley also shows exhibits of the Air Force, including Mi-2, Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters, as well as amphibious equipment in service with the 103rd Guards Mobile Brigade.
In addition, in 2018, a sculptural composition dedicated to the paratroopers was inaugurated in the park, perpetuating their feat and military valor.
A parachute tower has been installed near the shore of the Western Dvina River, as well as attractions for children and adults, an army camp kitchen and a shooting range.
In 2012, the pedestrian paths with lawns along the Western Dvina leading to the Annunciation Church and the Kirov Bridge were paved with colored tiles. Three fountains, an alley of valuable tree species, as well as platforms for trade pavilions and cafes have appeared in the park.
The park has viewing platforms with a colonnade and granite balustrade, which offer a picturesque view of the Western Dvina and the opposite shore. There is also a specially equipped descent to the river and a rotunda in the Pushkin style.
