Vistychi. Holy Cross Church.

In 1678 Eustace Tyshkevich created a wooden church in the local village. A fire that occurred in 1748 destroyed almost the entire temple. A church was built on the site of the burned-down temple Holy Sofia. He became famous for the fact that a miraculous icon was kept in it Vistychskaya God's Mother.

After the coup of the 19th century, restoration work was carried out in the church and it was re-consecrated to the Orthodox. The temple became known as the Holy Cross Church.

The Holy Cross Church in the late Baroque style has a three-nave basilica with a semicircular apse completing the central nave. The interior is decorated with iconography and other religious attributes that reflect the rich spiritual tradition of the region. Holy Cross Church is also surrounded by a picturesque landscape, which gives the place a special atmosphere. A beautiful temple building and a very well-maintained territory surrounded by a modern fence! However, it is problematic to get inside.

In 2011, repair and restoration work resumed in the temple and lasted for a very long period of time.

It is known that today the Holy Cross Church continues to perform its religious functions, holding divine services, baptisms and other important rituals. The church is also very popular among tourists interested in the history and culture of Belarus.

The Holy Cross Church in Vistychi is not only a place of worship, but also an important cultural object that preserves and transmits the traditions and history of the region.
