Lichitsy. The Orthodox Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.

There is a stone Orthodox church between the villages of Lichitsy and Kolontai. The temple was built in the 19th century.

The first Orthodox Church in Lichitsy was mentioned in 1642. A new stone Orthodox church with a stone fence and a bell tower was built next to it in 1871. The old church housed the Gospel of 1858, which was presented by Empress Maria Alexandrovna in 1864. Then the book was moved to the new church. At the beginning of the 20th century, the old wooden church was dismantled and moved to the cemetery, where it was used as a chapel.

At the end of the 19th century, the parish numbered 1,162 male and 1,147 female believers. The church had 5 parish schools and a public school in Kolontai, where 60 children studied. In 1897, a women's parish school was opened.

In 1930, a fire broke out and the church was severely damaged, but restored. It did not work after the war and was adapted for storage. With the collapse of the USSR, the temple was returned to the faithful and repairs began. In 1997, the church was consecrated by Archbishop Artemiy of Grodno and Volkovysk.

The building was built according to a standard design in the retrospective Russian style. It consists of 4 main parts: vestibule, refectory, prayer hall, apse. A bell tower has been erected above the narthex. The church is surrounded by a stone fence.
