Gorodok. Holy Trinity Church.

The small town of Gorodok in the Molodechno district has a long history. The Castle Hill, a stone watermill, a synagogue and pre-revolutionary buildings have been preserved here. The architectural dominant of the town is the Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity.

The first wooden church in the town was built in 1766. In 1812, there was a big fire in the village, but the temple survived. But in May 1865, a huge fire broke out again, which destroyed many buildings and the ancient church perished in flames.

A new, but already stone building was erected on the site of the old temple in 1874. Parishioners raised funds and renovated the church in 1911. The interior was decorated with murals.

The building was built in pseudo– Russian style according to a standard design. It consists of four main parts: the vestibule, the refectory, the prayer hall and the apse. Above the narthex there is a bell tower of eight on four. The prayer hall is a cuboid volume with a semicircular apse attached to it. The church is covered with a four-pitched roof, on top of which is a drum with an onion. The entrance portal and window openings are decorated with keel-shaped completions.

The church has been restored and has been operating since 1995. In the Trinity Church there are constantly fragments of the relics of the Holy Martyrs of Jerusalem, kept on the altar table.
