Dubrovo. Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Dubrovo village is located a few kilometers from the Vyazynka Literary Museum near Radoshkovichi. It was first mentioned in written sources in the 15th century. It belonged to various owners, including the Glebovichi, Kishki and Radziwills. The first church was funded in the 15th century by the Glebovichi. The next church was built at the expense of Nikolai Radziwill Sirotka. In the 17th century, after the war, the damaged shrine was restored by Glebovich. In the 18th century, Mateusz Marcinkiewicz was building a new building and at that time the church was two-towered with 7 altars. The building burned down at the end of the 18th century.
The new stone church was built in 1796-1805 on the initiative of the Minsk voivode Adam Khmara. In the 19th century, the church passed to the Orthodox believers and was rebuilt as a church. During the Polish period, in 1919, the building was returned to Catholics. In 1926-1929 – reconstruction took place and the temple acquired the appearance of a church.
The church was built in the classical style. In terms of the building has a rectangular shape. Covered gable roof. There used to be 2 towers on the main facade. The interior is divided into three naves. An apse with side sacristy is attached to the main volume. In the dungeons of the church there was a crypt with burials of investors of Khmara family. It has the status of a monument. Restoration is needed.
