Gornostaevichi. The Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.

The village of Gornostaevichi, where the temple is located, is one of the oldest settlements in Belarus. In the 15th century, this area was part of Belovezhskaya Pushcha, which then covered almost the entire present-day Svislochsky district. The Forest was a protected place for the Grand Duke of Lithuania Vytautas, who used these lands for hunting. According to the testimony of the Polish historian Ya. According to Yaroshevich, it was from the village of Novy Dvor, which was the residence of Vytautas, that the prince went hunting in the surrounding lands, including Gornostayevichi.

The Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in the village of Gornostaevichi was built in 1801 on the initiative of the patrimonial owner Fadey Korgits and is a striking example of architecture with elements of classicism.

The architectural features of the temple include a rectangular shape and a gable roof covered with shingles. The main facade is distinguished by a portico with four-sided columns, and the facades are decorated with rectangular window openings, which gives the building an elegant and harmonious appearance.

Unfortunately, in 1961, the temple was closed by the authorities, which was a heavy blow for local residents and believers. However, in 1992, after many years of neglect, the church was reopened and consecrated by Metropolitan Filaret, which became an important event for the local community and revived spiritual life in the village.
