Description

The Bogudenki estate is a historical architectural monument of the late 19th – early 20th century with elements of Baroque and Classicism. It is located in the Grodno region, in the village of Porozovo.

The estate belonged to the noble Butovt-Andreikovich family. The building has complex compositional forms - a high broken roof, side facades with two-story turrets, ending with hipped roofs. The main facade has a faceted bay window with a broken roof and a front porch with four pillars on which the attic rests.
Adjacent to the house is a park with wide alleys, flower beds and an artificial pond.

Despite the large number of historical events that the estate had to endure, it has been preserved almost in its original form, but is gradually deteriorating. Currently, the estate is up for auction, and there is hope that it will be restored over time.

A very atmospheric place, steeped in centuries of history.

The estate was built by Tadeusz Butowt-Andrzejkowicz and belonged to the Butowt-Andrzejkowicz family. The residential building with an area of about 500 m2 was built of wood. The wooden building with numerous cornices and turrets had two attics, a terrace, and a cellar. On the estate grounds there were a number of outbuildings, as well as a park occupying more than 4 hectares of land.

In 1937, the building was bought by residents of the village of Porozovo. In 1939, a military hospital had to be placed here. During the Great Patriotic War, there was a camp for people who had lost their homes, and for some time, a German forestry. After the end of the war and until 2002, the building housed the Porozovo town hospital.

Recently, the building has not been used and, unfortunately, has not been restored. Traces of its former beauty are still visible, but without care, it is deteriorating and collapsing with each passing day. It is impossible to get inside the building. And around there are a number of dilapidated outbuildings for study. You can see a well-preserved alley of trees, most of which are about 200 years old - there are lindens, ash trees, maples and oaks. Along one of the alleys, you can get to an ancient and already overgrown lake.

Overall, a very atmospheric place, steeped in centuries-old history. When driving through Grodno region, don't miss the opportunity to visit here!
