Landmark

Landmark

Minsk region, Logoisk district, Pogrebishche village, Yurkovichi forestry

Description

In the Logoisk district, near the village of Pogrebishche, a new ecological trail "Pogrebishchenskiye springs" was opened. This is not just a walk through the forest, but a real journey to a unique hydrological natural monument of local importance.

The 1.2 km route will take you through a picturesque forest along the Makovza River. There are numerous springs here, a typical gelokren, where groundwater comes to the surface, forming picturesque swampy marshes. Clean water with a sandy bottom and small pebbles creates a special atmosphere of this place.

The trail is equipped with interactive playgrounds: here you can play forest musical instruments, learn about the local fauna, and even sit at a wooden drum kit. Of particular interest is the stand "The forest is not a landfill!", which clearly shows how many years the abandoned garbage has been decomposing.

It is an ideal place for family holidays and environmental education, where nature is combined with educational interactivity.

A walk to the sources: ecotrope "Pogrebishchenskiye springs"

In the Logoisk district, on the outskirts of the village of Pogrebishche, the ecological trail "Pogrebishchenskiye springs" was opened in 2025. This is not just a walk through the forest, but a real journey to a unique hydrological natural monument of local importance, created back in 2008.

The 1.2 km route will take you through a picturesque forest along the Makovza Stream, one of the shortest rivers in Belarus. Here, in the upper reaches, there are numerous springs. This is a typical helocrene: groundwater comes to the surface, forming picturesque swampy marshes (crenofields). The width of the spring streams reaches 1 meter, the depth is 15-20 cm, the bottom is sandy with pebbles.

The water in the Pogrebischenskiye springs is distinguished by its high taste and purity. The temperature in summer stays at 8-9 °C. Brook trout have been preserved in the stream, and rare insects dominate the fauna.

The entrance to the route is greeted by a beautiful wooden arch. The trail is equipped with a wooden bridge and a pier for admiring the scenery. Interactive playgrounds are of particular interest: here you can play forest musical instruments - a xylophone and a drum kit, as well as learn about the local fauna. The stand "The forest is not a landfill!" clearly shows how many years the abandoned garbage has been decomposing. There are places to relax in silence.

An ideal place for family holidays and environmental education.
