The Church of St. Nicholas is a beautiful church on a hill, included in many pilgrimage routes.
The first mention of the temple dates back to 1653. In 1866, the church was erected on the site of the ancient Prechistenskaya Church, which had been rebuilt several times. The temple has the shape of a rectangle with an open dome in the middle and a bell tower in the pediment.
In 1907, during a multi-thousand religious procession, the ancient miraculous icon of the Logoisk Mother of God, which was considered lost, was returned to the church.
At the end of 1920, the church was closed and turned into a grain warehouse. In 1941, the church was reopened. Since then, services in the church have been held on a regular basis.
In 1980, the walls were painted by master icon painters. The scenes from the book of John the Theologian "Apocalypse" appeared on the walls. At the moment, this is the only church in Belarus that has paintings on this topic.
Today the church is divided into winter and summer parts, it has undergone good repairs. The decoration of the temple is rather modest. However, there are many ancient icons, including the icon "The Sign", as well as beautiful paintings on the walls that attract attention. Also here is kept a copy of the Logoisk icon of the Mother of God, which is revered by believers.
Right next to the temple, under the hill, there is a consecrated spring with healing water.
