Minsk. Drozdy Park.

The area where the Drozdy Park is now located was acquired by Pavel Drozd, a wealthy peasant, at the end of the 19th century. His family founded country houses here, which were rented out for a long time. This happened both before and after the revolution. However, in 1930, the Drozdov family was dispossessed, and the dachas began to be used for completely different purposes. For example, they were placed at the disposal of the pioneer camp. During the Great Patriotic War, a concentration camp called "Drozdy" was located just a few kilometers east of the country village, which left a deep historical mark on the fate of this area.

The Drozdy reservoir, which appeared in 1976 on the Svisloch River, was built to solve two important tasks: providing Minsk with drinking water and creating a comfortable recreation area in the suburbs. This reservoir belongs to the flowing type and has shores partially covered with dense forests. It attracts many tourists due to its well-equipped beaches, a boat station and several small islands that add to the scenic beauty of this place.

As for the park itself, it organically combines elements of well-groomed alleys and a natural landscape. Convenient conditions for various types of recreation have been created on its territory. For example, there are neat paths in the park, suitable for hiking or cycling trips. Along these paths there are picnic areas equipped with mangalas and gazebos, and each such zone is located at a comfortable distance from the others, which provides privacy for vacationers. Families with children can use the playgrounds specially built in the park, and for those who prefer an active lifestyle, there are sports grounds with horizontal bars.
