David-Gorodok. Museum of the History of the city.

In David-Gorodok, Stolin district, there is the David-Gorodok Museum of the city's history. The museum is a branch of the Stolin Regional Museum of Local Lore.

The museum was established in 1995. The exhibition is located in several halls.

The first hall tells about the ancient history of the place, where maps, documents, finds and photographs are presented. Archaeological excavations on Castle Hill were carried out several times in David-Gorodok during the time of the Polish state in the early 20th century and during the Soviet Union. Some of the finds are on display.

The second hall tells about the outstanding countrymen of this small town, including the classics of Belarusian literature by the famous poet Leonid Dranko – Maisyuk. The museum's collection includes autographed manuscripts and books, photographs and documents.

The third hall is a small art gallery, which contains paintings by local artists who have depicted the life and nature of the David Gorodok region in their works. Among the artists there are works by Anatoly Kontsub, Valentina Tikhon, Alexander Khoroshun and other famous Belarusian masters.

The museum's exposition is developing and is constantly being updated with new works and exhibits. Entrance to the museum is subject to a charge.
