David is a Small town. St. George's Church.

According to one version, the church of St. George was built at the end of the 17th century, according to another, it is believed that the first mention of it was in 1675, and in 1724 the church was rebuilt and has been preserved in this form to our time.

The church is named after St. George, the patron saint of warriors and the patron saint of farmers, who has been venerated in the face of saints since early Christianity.

The structure of the church is distinguished by its simplicity and the absence of decorative elements and decorations. Such simplicity and conciseness are typical for the interior of the temple.

The church is built of wood, it has three log cabins, ending with a tent.

The Baroque iconostasis of 1751, which has four rows, has been preserved in the temple. It is richly painted and has gilded carved overlays. The iconostasis is the real pride of this church and complements its ancient image. It is mounted on a high plinth and contains characteristic icons and other divine compositions on the themes of the life of the Mother of God and Jesus Christ. The Royal gates of this sample of folk art are kept in the National Historical Museum of Belarus in Minsk.

Next to the church there is a bell tower, which was built in the 19th century. The architecture of the bell tower is completely simple, without frills. The belfry that existed earlier has not been preserved.

In the period from 1964 to 1991, the temple was closed. Then it was returned to the faithful, who helped to carry out repairs in it. Today, the church is operational and in good condition.

Although St. George's Church looks quite simple and modest, it attracts the attention of a large number of tourists who are interested in historical buildings and ancient religious monuments.
