Borisov. Borisov Arena Stadium.
In Borisov, in addition to architectural monuments, during the tour you can also see the new modern sports stadium "Borisov Arena". The city has one of the best football clubs in Belarus, BATE, which plays in the Top League of the Belarusian championship.
The idea of building a new stadium in Borisov has been around for a long time. And so in 2010, the deputies of the city asked the country's leadership to propose the construction of a new arena. A positive decision was made and the management of BATE, when searching for a company that would make a project and build an arena, preferred a Slovenian company. Architects Rok Aman and Shpela Videchnik designed the building in the summer of 2010.
Construction began in November 2010. The capacity of the football arena is more than 13 thousand people, boxes for honorary guests for 600 people. There is also a press box with tables. Openings on the facades of the arena serve for natural ventilation of the lawn, and the roof of the stadium is lined with metal sheets from the outside. There are 3,000 square meters of commercial space in the subtribe rooms. There is a parking lot for a thousand cars near the arena. The opening of the Borisov Arena was very solemn in May 2014.
The stadium was built on the outskirts of the city next to the highway leading to Minsk. The Borisov Arena Stadium has been assigned the 4th UEFA category, and this allows football competitions to be held here at the highest level.
