Bolshye Chuchevichi. Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos.

The village of Bolshye Chuchevichi, Luninets district, has a wooden Orthodox church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos of the 19th century.

The place was first mentioned in historical sources during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 16th century, when it was part of the Pinsk district of the Brest Voivodeship and belonged to the Vilno voivode Nikolai Radziwill.

In the second half of the 19th century, there was a parish school and a parish guardianship, where they helped the disabled, the sick and orphans. In 1886, there were 58 households and 530 inhabitants.

In 1851, a wooden Church of the Intercession was built in the center of the village by the foundation of Prince Wittgenstein. Previously, there was also a church in the village, which was destroyed by fire in the middle of the 19th century. In 1908, a bell tower with 4 bells of 5, 2, 2 and one and a half poods each will be added to the church. There was no heating stove in the temple. The temple area is 35 square fathoms.

The iconostasis was a wooden two-tiered one with 13 icons painted on canvas. There were silver-plated vessels from church items, two crosses-copper and gilded, a tin panister and other things. Five nearby villages were assigned to the church. There was an archive attached to the church, where some of the documents from the old church were. There are 2 priests on staff: the rector of the church and the psalmist. The church's annual income was 30 rubles. There was arable land at the temple, a hayfield and a forest with a church estate with outbuildings.

The church is built of three log cabins and consists of 4 main parts: a vestibule, a refectory, a prayer hall and an apse. There are 5 small onion domes mounted on octagonal drums above the main volume.
