Chudin. St. George the Victorious Church.

In the village of Chudin, Gantsevichi district, there is a wooden Orthodox church, which was consecrated in honor of St. George.

The village of Chudin itself has been known from historical sources since the 16th century and belonged to Prince Radziwill at that time. In 1867, the wooden church of St. George was built in the local cemetery in Chudin. In the 1880s, there were only 39 households and 349 inhabitants in Chudin, and at the beginning of the 20th century, 118 households and 790 inhabitants.

After the Peace of Riga in 1921, the village was part of the Luninets district of the Polesie voivodeship. At that time, there were 182 houses and 994 residents in Chudin, including 928 Belarusians, 43 Poles and 23 Jews. After the Great Patriotic War, the church was still operating for a while, but then it was closed.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the church was handed over to Orthodox believers and repairs were carried out. In the winter of 1992, the temple began to work. The church consists of three main parts: the vestibule, the prayer hall and the apse. The main volume is covered by a gable roof. A wooden bell tower was built in front of the church. The church has been renovated and the territory near the temple is equipped.
