Bostyn'. Paraskeva Pyatnitsa Church.
In the center of the town of Bostyn', Luninets district, stands the wooden Orthodox church of Paraskeva Pyatnitsa. This temple is new, which was built in 2003. The new church was built near the place where the ancient wooden church of Paraskeva Pyatnitsa, which was destroyed in the 1980s, once stood. The new church is built in the traditions of wooden folk architecture and consists of 4 main parts.
The first temple in the village was built back in the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in 1750 and belonged, worst of all, first to the Uniates. The shrine was funded by the local landowner Shchit, and was also built at the expense of parishioners. During the time of the Russian Empire, in 1877, the temple was renovated.
The interior had a two-tiered iconostasis with 15 icons by local craftsmen. There were also two silver chalices, an ancient Uniate tabernacle, an altar gospel in a copper gilt frame, and another Gospel bound in velvet with a silver image. There were metric books with records from 1793 in the church's archive. The church had a bell tower with four bells: one with three poods, and the rest with two poods. Two cemeteries are attributed to the church, one of which is the Church of St. Nicholas and the Church of the Holy Trinity in the village of Veluta.
At the end of the 19th century, there were 671 men and 657 women parishioners. There are two priests at the church: the rector and the psalmist. The church has an income of 40 rubles a year. The church has a thousand fathoms of land at the church estate, 18 dessiatines of arable land, 9 dessiatines of hay and three dessiatines under the garden.
The church building was wooden, built in the traditions of folk wooden architecture. The roof is covered with shingles. An octagonal drum with a small bulb stood on the roof.
