The Museum of National Glory in Zembin is a small unique museum with an interesting exposition.

The Museum of National Glory, which is part of the State Institution Borisov United Museum, is a true treasure!

Despite its modest size, it impresses with its informative content, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the rich history of the region and meet people whose destinies are connected with this land.

What makes this museum special?

Firstly, this is a unique collection dedicated to the life and work of Nadezhda Khodasevich-Leger (Nadia Leger), a Belarusian artist who worked in France and left a vivid mark on world art. The jewel of the exhibition are six mosaic panels made of Maltese stone and smalt. The weight of each panel is as much as 300 kg! These monumental works of art depict portraits of prominent cultural figures: Lenin, Picasso, Chagall and Fernand Leger.

Secondly, the museum tells about the history of the 'Uncle Kolya' partisan detachment, one of the largest and most combat-ready partisan brigades operating during the Great Patriotic War. The tour will allow you to learn about the heroic struggle of the partisans in the Borisov, Smolevichi, Begoml, Logoisk and Pleshchenitsy districts. The 'Uncle Kolya' brigade was created in August 1942 and left an indelible mark on the history of the resistance.

In addition, a significant part of the exhibition is devoted to the tragic events of the genocide of the Belarusian people during the war. This is an important and painful page of history that must be remembered and honored.

The Museum of National Glory certainly deserves attention! By visiting it, you will not only expand your knowledge of the history and culture of Belarus, but also get good impressions from what you saw.
