Description
The ancient memorial, known as the "Brilyovskoye Field", contains many monuments located at the site of the decisive battle between the Russian and Napoleon armies. This monument was erected because it was here, on these lands, that the history of the Napoleon army ended after their defeat.

The ancient memorial "Brilyovskoye field"
During the battles on the Berezina, which lasted four days in November 1812, about 50,000 soldiers from both sides fell victim. A hundred years later, in 1912, a monument was erected here in honor of the Russian soldiers who fell in these battles. Near the village of Studenka there is a monument with a medallion depicting the Emperor Napoleon.
The remains of about 400 French soldiers are buried in the local cemetery. There are three mass graves, each marked with a granite cross.
Legend says that the fate of Napoleon and Europe as a whole was decided on the shores of the Berezina in those distant times. In 1836, Russian Colonel Yakovlev led the work on the creation of memorials near the French bridges.
On the 150th anniversary of the Patriotic War, a stone was erected commemorating the victory of the Russian army. The opening of the monument was an event for the representation of many countries. Currently, historical reconstructions and mass commemorative events are held here in November.
An outbuilding has been preserved near the village of Staroborisov, where Napoleon may have once stayed and lived, now known as the "House of Napoleon". A monument to the victims of the Patriotic War of 1812 has been erected in the village of Studenka - a sculpture of a soldier without a uniform, attracting numerous groups of tourists.
The Brilyovskoye field and the monument in Studenka are very interesting and significant places that are worth visiting for everyone who is interested in history and memorable historical events.
