Description
The Museum of the History of Theatrical and Musical Culture of Belarus opened its doors in 1990. Since 2014, it has been functioning as a branch of the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus.
The museum's expositions tell visitors about the origin of theatrical and musical culture in the Belarusian lands, its development, the formation of national professional theatrical and musical culture in the 19th century, as well as the development of theater and music in Belarus in the 20th century.
The building in which the museum is located was built in the 18th century. It is an architectural monument with elements of Baroque and early classicism. Previously, it was the House of Freemasons, where the Northern Lights Lodge met.

Museum of the History of Theatrical and Musical Culture of Belarus.
The main exhibition of the Museum of the History of Theatrical and Musical Culture is dedicated to the historical development of theater and musical art in the Belarusian lands.
The topics of the exhibition cover the formation of the theatrical and musical culture of Belarus, the formation of the national professional theater and music in the 19th century, as well as the analysis of theater and music in the 20th century.
In addition to the main exhibition, there are memorial rooms dedicated to significant figures of the Belarusian theater.
The Museum of the History of Theatrical and Musical Art today presents 10 collections, including various exhibits related to Belarusian art: musical instruments, music manuscripts, plays, theater dolls, sketches of costumes and decorations, videos, photographs and documentary materials.
The museum regularly holds various exhibitions and cultural events. In addition to excursions and exhibitions, creative meetings, conferences and events dedicated to the anniversaries of Belarusian art are also held inside the museum.
