Description

The Yanka Kupala Museum is a unique cultural institution located in Minsk, dedicated to the life and work of one of the most famous Belarusian poets Yanka Kupala. It is one of the oldest literary museums in Belarus. A museum dedicated to the life and work of one of the most famous Belarusian poets Yanka Kupala.

The museum's exhibitions include a variety of materials related to the life and work of Yanka Kupala. Visitors can see the personal belongings of the poet and his family, his books, photographs and portraits, documents, as well as objects reflecting the atmosphere and everyday life of the time when the poet lived. The expositions also introduce visitors to the role of Yanka Kupala in the historical and cultural development of the country.

In the museum, visitors have the opportunity to get acquainted with the poet's childhood and youth, with the beginning of his literary activity, with the St. Petersburg period of life and creativity. The expositions provide information about the time when Yanka Kupala was the editor of the newspaper Nasha Niva, materials about his role in the national drama. The literary and social activities of Yanka Kupala in the years 1917-1930, as well as the 30s of the 20th century and the Great Patriotic War in the life and work of the poet are separately consecrated.

The museum also hosts thematic exhibitions, lectures, cultural events and a variety of interactive projects that promote in-depth study and understanding of Kupala's heritage. Within the framework of partnership with museums of the CIS and Europe, exhibition and cultural and educational projects are being implemented in Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Armenia, and Bulgaria.
