Zembin. Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The first church in the town of Zembin was built in 1609, and in 1640, the Catholic Dominican monastery was founded by the Oshmyany sub-priest Adam Sakovich. The monastery had a school and a library. In 1790, the church burned down, and construction of a brick church began.

The new church was built in the early 19th century in the Baroque style with elements of classicism. The buildings were badly damaged during the war of 1812. And after the anti-Russian uprising of 1830-1831, the church was closed. The Catholic church was reopened only at the beginning of the 20th century. It was restored before the revolution and closed again during the Soviet Union. Gradually, the architectural monument fell into disrepair and now only ruins remain.

The church was built in the Baroque style with elements of classicism. The building had three naves with a semicircular apse. It was covered with a gable roof. On the main facade there is a Baroque figured pediment. In the niche of the pediment there is a sculpture of the Mother of God.

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is in a state of emergency and requires restoration. Several years ago, part of the right wall near the facade collapsed, and the church was surrounded by a fence.
