Zanevichi. The Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and St. Josaphat.
In the town of Zanevichi, Grodno region, there is a stone Catholic church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and St. Josaphat in the local cemetery. The temple was built according to a project that was developed back in the days of the Russian Empire in 1908. The church was consecrated in 1917.
The first priest at the new parish was Jozef Belyavsky, and the next was Edmund Hlevinsky. The next one is Father Anthony Auditsky. And between 1932 and 1939, the priest was Mikodim Pakhalko, who went to Lithuania when the war broke out.
Soon, a new priest, Jozef Matejewski, arrived. After the Great Patriotic War, the church worked in Soviet times, but in the period 1944-1954 there was no priest at the temple. Then Father Jozef Mateevsky served at the church again until 1984.
The temple was renovated in 1989. The shrine was also renovated in 1993.
The monument was erected in the neoclassical style. The plan has a square volume, which is covered with a gable roof. The main facade is decorated with a four-column Tuscan portico. A wide entablature and a triangular pediment are installed above the columns. The side facades and the altar part have high arched window openings.
