The Church of St. Anthony of Padua was built in 1904 on the site of a Franciscan monastery using the remaining part of its foundation. The church is named after St. Anthony of Padua, a famous Catholic preacher, theologian, and ascetic revered by the Catholic Church.

The church has a long and tragic history. It suffered greatly during the First World War, as the front line was located just 4 km away. However, after the war it was restored and was used by believers until 1939.

During the Great Patriotic War, the church lost its bells, and the rector of the church was shot. After Stalin's repressions, the church was used as a warehouse, and later as a workshop for an industrial enterprise.

In 1988, a decision was made to reconstruct the church. The repairs were completed in just 40 days: the crosses and belfry were restored, the facade was put in order, and all the rooms were cleaned.

Today it is a very beautiful and wonderful functioning temple. It is undoubtedly an adornment of the area, a symbol of the city and the Catholic faith in it. The church has a rich interior decoration and beautiful interiors that are impressive.

This is a beautiful and atmospheric place where silence and peace reign. The church stands on the river bank. An indescribably beautiful view opens onto it from the bridge.
