Description
There is a holy spring near the village of Okhovo. Its source is equipped with reinforced concrete rings, above which stands a wooden chapel. The Okhovo spring belongs to the descending type. The water in it almost always keeps cool, and its level exceeds one meter. Chemical analysis confirmed the high quality of the spring water and its low hardness. According to legend, a miraculous healing of a woman suffering from a serious illness took place here. The water in the holy spring is considered to have healing properties. The Okhovo spring is recognized as a natural monument.

Krinitsy are popularly called springs, natural reservoirs of crystal clear water that are of interest to many, including scientists involved in the study of nature. Locals believe in the healing power of these waters. There are ten such unique places in the Pinsk region, but the spring of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary near the village of Okhovo is particularly famous. Despite the fact that Pinsk district is rich in springs, only Okhovo ones is recognized as a saint.
Although the first photo of the spring dates back to 1939, locals are convinced of its more ancient origin. According to legend, it was here that the Most Holy Theotokos appeared. The Okhovo spring, consecrated in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is a local natural landmark. An Orthodox chapel has been erected above it.
Located southwest of the village, at the edge of the forest, this spring is famous for its high water quality, confirmed by chemical analyses. The water is characterized by low mineralization and softness, and the content of trace elements is normal.
