An ancient cemetery near the village of Yasenets.

The cemetery has a long history dating back to the last centuries. Overgrown with tall grass and braided with lush vines, this cemetery is a reminder from the distant past.

Representatives of different generations are buried here, and each grave tells its own story. The architectural features of the tombstones and monuments reflect the styles of different eras, which makes the cemetery a valuable object for studying local history and culture.

In the cemetery, you can see a variety of tombstones made of stone and wood, with unique carvings and inscriptions. Some of them have historical value and are examples of folk art.

Ancestral chapels, tombstones and monuments have been preserved here, under which the Obukhovichi from Yasenets, the Wendorfs from Golynka, the Elenskys and others rest.

Especially noteworthy is the Wendorf tomb chapel with a semicircular apse, on the facades of which commemorative granite tables are mounted.

Also in the area near this cemetery, archaeologists have discovered about a hundred mounds, filled with Dregovichi in the 11th-13th centuries.

Today, the cemetery requires care and attention. Local residents and volunteers periodically carry out cleaning and restoration work to preserve this heritage for future generations.

The ancient cemetery near the village of Yasenets is not only a place of remembrance, but also an important element of the cultural heritage of the region. It reminds of the past and serves as a place to reflect on life and death.
