Obrovo. A giant oak tree and a colony of white storks.

In the Ivatsevichi district, in the quiet village of Obrovo, time flows differently. Locals don't call it a giant for its own good: the tree is so massive and sprawling that its powerful branches seem to support the very sky above Brest region.

A small but very noisy colony of white storks has settled on its branches. This is very rare for Belarus! Usually we are used to seeing a single nest on a water tower or pole, or a single "stork castle" on the roof of a barn. But it's not often that you see an entire colony building nests in one tree. The branches of the giant, like reliable terraces of a multi-storey building, hold several massive stork "apartments".

Imagine the picture: an ancient rural cemetery, in the center of which stands the patriarch oak, and above it white birds circle, bringing spring in their beaks. This place is saturated with both silence and life. Storks did not choose this particular tree by chance - they say they feel good energy and a safe place.
