Olmany Marshes Landscape Reserve.

In Stolin district, if you visit the village of Olmany, you can visit the ecological ramp "The Olmany swamps". Previously, you will need to contact the regional Museum of local lore in Stolin and they will tell you where to find a specialist who will competently and interestingly tell you about the unusual nature of this region. To visit the reserve, you must have special shoes and clothes and remember that you are in the border zone!

The largest complex of lowland, upland, and transitional marshes has been preserved to this day in an intact state. The Olmany marshes have the status of a wetland of international importance and are protected by an international convention, and the Olmany Marshes landscape reserve of national significance operates on this territory.

Part of the reserve is located on the territory of Ukraine. Approximately 40% of the reserve's territory is occupied by open marshes and among the marshes there are sand dunes overgrown with pine and deciduous forests. There are also floodplain oak forests, thickets of black alder and pine forests. Several rivers flow through the Olman marshes, including the Stigva and L'va, and several reclamation channels.

There are two large lakes, Maloe and Bolshoe Zasominoe, and several dozen small lakes. 151 species of birds live in the reserve, of which 25 are listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus. There are also many rare plants and animals that are under state protection.
