The Church of St. Nicholas in the village of Novy Pogost is an architectural monument of the retrospective Russian style, a unique example of 19th century architecture.

The Church of St. Nicholas, located in the village of Novy Pogost, is a striking example of architecture of the retrospective Russian style. Built in 1880 with donations from believers, it is made of brick and rubble stone, which gives the temple strength and durability.

The exterior of the church impresses with its harmony and traditional composition. The eastern side ends with a semicircular apse, and above the main volume rises a tent-roofed bell tower and an octagonal drum topped with an elegant bulbous dome. The facades of the temple are decorated with elements of ancient Russian architecture, which give it a special character and charm.

According to local residents, St. Nicholas Church has never been closed since its foundation. She remained the center of spiritual life for believers even in the most difficult times, including the years of the Great Patriotic War and the period of religious persecution. This testifies to the steadfastness and dedication of the parishioners, who continued to gather for prayer and divine services.

Valuable artifacts are kept inside the temple, such as the wooden sculpture "Crucifixion" (XVII-XVIII centuries) and icons of the XIX century, including "Mother of God Odigitria", "Archangel Gabriel" and "Archangel Michael". The interior of the church is admired for its historical value and the warm atmosphere of the prayer hall, creating a space for spiritual inspiration and reflection.

The Church of St. Nicholas in the village of Novy Pogost is not only an important religious center, but also a significant architectural monument that preserves the spirit of the times and traditions of Russian culture.
