Belarus, Minsk region, Myadel district, Mostoviki village

Description

In the Myadel district of the Minsk region, near the village of Mostoviki on the road to the Starye Gaby, the ruins of the Trinity Church have been preserved. The Holy Trinity Church was built in the second half of the 19th century from red brick in a retrospective Russian style. It remained in operation until World War II, when the temple, like the entire village, was seriously damaged. Despite this, the church was rebuilt after the war.

Ruins of the Holy Trinity Church.

The ruins of the Trinity Church are located on the outskirts of the Myadel district, between the villages of Mostoviki and Novye Gaby. The peculiarity of this place is that the church stands in the forest, away from the main roads, near the local Kostenevichi—Krivichi—Boyary road.

The church was built for the residents of the villages of Mostoviki and Mostovy. The first of them, Mostoviki, is a microscopic village that has not recovered from the effects of the war — the village was burned down and rebuilt. The second village, which was located next to the temple, does not actually exist, presumably, it was also destroyed by the Nazis and was not rebuilt.

In 1964, the Holy Trinity Church was closed, and, left without proper care, began to slowly deteriorate. Today, the ruins of the church are located about 1 km north of the village of Mostoviki and represent the only reminder of the past of this temple. There is a stone cross on the ground next to the ruins, which previously served as a tombstone.

At the moment, the roof of the church has long since collapsed, almost all the ceilings have fallen, but the walls are still standing, preserving the memory of the former greatness of this place. This is an interesting place for people who love history.
