The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker is an architectural monument, an example of the retrospective Russian style.

The Church of St. Nicholas in the village of Starye Gaby has a rich history dating back to the middle of the 19th century. Initially, the temple was wooden, but in 1905 the construction of a new stone temple was completed, which was built of rubble stone. This material gives the building a picturesque and unique look, which makes the church a notable architectural landmark of the region.

Russian Russian Church is a striking example of the retrospective-Russian style, which combines elements of traditional Russian architecture with the new trends of the time. Its architecture is characterized by harmonious proportions and expressive forms, which makes it attractive to both believers and tourists. The interior of the church with its beautiful icons and murals is also noteworthy and reflects the rich spiritual tradition of the region.

Until 1964, the church functioned as an active church, but after that it was closed and the building was used as a granary. Only 20 years later, in the early 1980s, the church was returned to the local Orthodox community. Restoration work soon began, but it took another five years before services resumed at St. Nicholas Church.

Today, the church is an important spiritual center for the residents of the village of Starye Gaby and attracts the attention of tourists interested in history and architecture. It is a historical monument that preserves the cultural heritage and traditions of the people.
