Krivichi. Trinity Church.

The Trinity Church in Krivichi was built in 1642 with funds donated by father of Janusz Kishka. Unfortunately, this wooden temple has not been preserved to this day. In 1887, the tsarist government funded the restoration of the Trinity Church in Krivichi, although according to other sources, it may be 40 years older.

In 1886, construction began on a new stone building, completed in 1887.

The church is a typical example of the retrospectively Russian style. The temple is built according to the traditional scheme. Architectural features include a three-tiered tent-roofed bell tower, a Babynets, a cube-shaped main volume, and an altar apse. The exterior of the church is determined by the bulbous domes and other decorative elements characteristic of this trend in architecture. The facade is decorated with a three-tiered brick arch. A three-tiered belfry tower with niches in the form of crosses and arched windows stands out.

In 1921, the Polish authorities handed over the church to the Catholic community and it functioned as a church until 1939.

In 1963, the church was converted into a warehouse, and the church utensils were destroyed or transferred to other churches. The warehouse existed until 1989. After the restoration, the church was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church.

Today, the Trinity Church in Krivichi is an important historical and cultural monument reflecting the architectural traditions of its time.
