Lyushnevo. Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary church.

In the center of the village of Lyushnevo, Baranovichi district, there is a stone Orthodox Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Lyushnevo was first mentioned in historical sources since the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 16th century. At that time, it belonged to the Sapieha magnates, and the first church with a bell tower was built.

After the second partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1793, it became part of the Russian Empire. It was part of the Novogrudok district, first of the Slonim province, then of the Lithuanian and Grodno provinces. In the period 1921-1939 in the Polish state.

In 1865, the Holy Dormition stone Church was built in the center of the village. The monument was created in a retrospective Russian style. The building was built according to canonical canons according to a standard design and consists of four main parts: a vestibule, a refectory, a prayer hall and an apse.

A two-tiered bell tower is built above the vestibule: a four-by-four. The main volume is square in plan and an onion dome rises above it on a small round drum. The building has been renovated in recent years. The territory next to the temple is landscaped. A stone gates has been erected in front of the church.
