Lipsk. Church of the Virgin Mary.

In the village of Lipsk, Lyakhovichi district, there is a stone Catholic church, which was consecrated in honor of the Virgin Mary.

Lipsk was first found in documents in 1492. During the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, it was part of the Novogrudok district of the Novogrudok Voivodeship. In 1700, the first Catholic church was mentioned, which was wooden with a double-towered facade.

The new stone church was built in 1910. The temple was built at the expense of Count Potocki and the care of priest K. Vankovich. The temple was heavily damaged during the First World War. The shrine was restored during the time of the Polish state under Father M. Kolodey.

The church has an eclectic style. The architecture of the building contains features of classicism, Baroque and Rococo elements. The church is a three-nave basilica and has side sacristy. A four-sided bell tower with an unbroken dome, which is completed with a tall spire, was built over the main facade. A balustrade with decorative vases was created on the main facade.

The multi-tiered tower was destroyed during the First World War. The decor on the side facades and partially on the main facade has been preserved to our time. In recent years, the church has been renovated.
