Krasnoe. Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos.
If you drive through the town of Krasnoe along the Radoshkovichi-Molodechno highway, then on the hills on the right you will see two temples: first an Orthodox church, and then a Neo-Gothic church made of yellow brick. The Orthodox Church of the Holy Virgin Intercession was built in the 19th century in a pseudo-Russian style. At first, there was a wooden Orthodox church in Krasnoe, which was consecrated in honor of the holy prophet Elijah. In addition, there were several Orthodox chapels in the cemetery.
The Intercession Church in Krasnoe was built in 1860, and according to another given one in 1889. The patronal feast is celebrated on October 14.
The building was built in the pseudo-Russian style of rubble stone, fashionable at that time in the Russian Empire. It consists of four main parts: the vestibule, the refectory, the prayer hall and the apse. A three-tiered bell tower is built over the narthex: a vasmerik on a quadrangle.
In terms of the temple, it is cross-domed. A semicircular apse has been completed to the main volume. Above the middle roof there is an octagonal light dome drum, which is cut through by window openings. The entrance opening is made in the form of a keel-shaped portal. The solemnity and beauty of the temple is given by the combination of natural stone with white-plastered parts of the building. The interior has a three-tiered iconostasis. The sails under the light drum are painted with images of saints.
