Krasnoe. Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Between Molodechno and Radoshkovichi there is an ancient place Krasnoe, above which the Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary rises on a hill.
Krasnoe was first mentioned in written sources in the 15th century and at that time it was the domain of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania. The first Catholic parish was founded in these places sometime in 1500, when Alexander Jagiellonchik financed a wooden church. The temple burned down during the war in the middle of the 17th century. At the end of the century, a new church was built, which was located in the neighboring village of Pleban, and parishioners from Krasnoe went to their temple.
The stone church in Krasnoe itself began to be built in 1908 with the money of the parishioners. In 1911, the church was completed and consecrated in honor of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The priest was Pavel Senkevich. After the war, during the Soviet era, the church also worked. In 1988 – 1990, the restoration of the monument took place.
The building was built in the Neo-Gothic style. The church has three naves. It is a single-towered basilica. A five-sided apse with side sacristy is attached to the main volume. A three-tiered bell tower rises above the main facade, which is completed with a high spire. The side walls and the main facade are reinforced with buttresses. A signature is built over the altar part. The main entrance is built in the form of a pointed portal, above which there is a Gothic rose window. The interior has choirs, an ambon and several altars.
