The Church of St. Michael the Archangel.
The village called Khalch has a centuries-old history. The first information about this settlement dates back to 1437.
Church St. Michael the Archangel was erected in 1798. The temple burned down twice in its lifetime: first in 1891, and then during the Great Patriotic War. Therefore, the original building has not been preserved.
In 1990, the construction of a new church building was started. In 1991, the church was consecrated in honor of Archangel Michael. Since then, the temple has become a place where divine services, holidays and important church events are held. The exterior of the temple largely continues the traditions of folk wooden architecture. The temple has a faceted turret and a bell tower with a hipped roof, which is crowned with bulbous domes.
In 2003, a chapel was erected in honor of the fallen soldiers of the Great Patriotic War.
The ruling bishop regularly visits the church on working visits, during which he gets acquainted with the state of affairs in the parish and discusses with the rector administrative and economic issues of the parish community. The parish actively participates in the life of the village, organizing various events such as holidays, charity events and educational programs for children and adults. It unites believers who support each other in spiritual growth and the pursuit of virtue.
Patronal Feast Archangel Michael is celebrated on September 19 and November 21.
The church is decorated with a beautiful new iconostasis and a distinctive interior decoration, the miraculous icon of John the Baptist. Recently, there have been noticeable changes in the temple, which delight both the eye and the soul.
The parish of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel in the village of Khalch is not only a place for prayer, but also an important cultural and social center that helps strengthen community ties and spiritual development.
