Vetka Museum of Old Believers and Belarusian Traditions.

The museum in Vetka was formed thanks to the efforts of local resident Fyodor Shklyarov, who came from a family of Old Believers. He amassed a large collection of various local antiques, becoming the first director of the museum and today the museum bears his name.

About 15 thousand various objects are stored on three floors of the Vetkovo Museum. There are collections of unique Old Believer icons (about 500 exhibits), handwritten and early printed books, towels and traditional costumes, and household items of the local population. The permanent exhibitions of the museum present us with original exhibits about the culture of the Orthodox Belarusian village and the Old Believer Vetka of the late 17-18 centuries.

There is a restoration workshop at the museum. And today, employees of the Vetka Museum regularly participate in scientific research, continuing to study traditional Belarusian culture. If desired, for a small fee you can order a guide around the museum or use an audio guide.
