Grodno. Church of the Cathedral of All Belarusian Saints
The Church of the Cathedral of All Belarusian Saints in Grodno began its history in 1994, when the Orthodox parish of the same name was registered. However, the construction of the temple itself began much later, in 2002, according to the project of the talented architect Nina Yemelyanova.
The Vishnevets microdistrict, which played an important and tragic role during the Great Patriotic War, was chosen as the place for the construction of the temple. Terrible and bloody battles took place here, first in 1941 and then in 1943, which claimed thousands of human lives.
In 2005, the lower church, dedicated to St. Gabriel of Bialystok, was consecrated, and on November 7, 2011, the upper church was consecrated. The Church of the Cathedral of All Belarusian Saints is made in a retrospective Russian style, and its interior is decorated with a magnificent carved iconostasis. The temple complex also includes several outbuildings.
Since 2005, the Brotherhood in honor of St. Seraphim Zhirovitsky has been operating at the temple. The confessor of this fraternity is the rector of the church, Archpriest Anatoly Nenartovich. The members of the Brotherhood, young people of the Orthodox faith over the age of 18, are actively engaged in spiritual development and charitable activities. Their number changes periodically, but it always remains in the range of 15-25 people.
