Water towers Kasya and Basya.
On the outskirts of the historical center in the city of Grodno there are two beautiful water towers. They were built in the late 19th century, at a time when the city's water supply system was being improved.
The height of the towers is 22 meters. These are very interesting buildings that you want to look at. The towers have octagonal facades, with elements of eclecticism, lace and ornaments.
The pink tower, consisting of two tiers, was built first in 1890. The yellow tower was built in the 1910s. It has a brighter appearance and rich decor: figured architraves, interesting decorative elements.
It is not known what name each of the two towers bears. Unfortunately, there is no exact data on the origin of the towers' names either.
Currently, the towers house art studios, where master classes and various art exhibitions are also held. On the territory of the creative workshops, you can see miniature sculptures made of stone. For example, near one of the towers, there is a figurine of a learned cat guarding a birdhouse.
The surrounding area offers a beautiful view of Grodno.
Overall, it's just an unusual and original architectural structure. It's just a bit of a pity that you can't get inside.
