Druya. Church of the Holy Trinity.

The famous Belarusian politician of the times of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Chancellor Lev Sapieha, donated large sums of money for the construction of numerous churches in Belarus. With his donation, the Bernardine Monastery and the Church of the Holy Trinity were built in Druya in 1643-1646. In the 18th century, the architectural complex was rebuilt.

After the anti-Russian uprising of 1830-1831, the authorities of the Russian Empire closed the Catholic monastery and only the church remained. In 1923-1928, Belarusian monks of the Catholic Marian Order settled in the monastery building. First, a school was founded, and then a gymnasium. Famous Belarusian figures graduated from this educational institution: priest Andrei Tikota, historian Cheslav Sipovich, translator and priest Vladislav Chernyavsky and many others.

After the war, the church was closed and a land reclamation school was located here, and then a construction technical school. In 1989, the Catholic shrine was handed over to the believers.

The church is a three-nave brick temple. There is a multi-tiered tower above the entrance. The interior has preserved the plastic art and decor of the 17th century. The main altar was made in the 18th century in the late Baroque and Rococo style. On the right side of the church there is a two-story brick monastery building.

The area around the church has been landscaped. A sculpture of the Virgin Mary has been installed. Many flowers and ornamental plants have been planted. A pond with aquatic plants has been created.
