Description
The town of Idolta in the Miora district has several interesting historical sites. Nature lovers will like the local lake with a length of 2 kilometers. There is a footbridge across the lake. There are two Catholic churches here: the church, which is right by the road, and in the village itself the chapel-tomb of the Milosh family.
In the center of Idolta, the 19th-century Milosh stone palace and several outbuildings with a park have been preserved. There are now social facilities in the palace.
Representatives of the noble family of Milosh had the coat of arms "Lyubich", which dates back to the XII century. In 1824, the idol was bought by Judge Joseph Milosh and his son Eugene. They built a manor house and a chapel-tomb in Idolta.

Idolta. The Milosh Estate.
The town of Idolta is located near the Miory-Druya highway. There is a church in the Art Nouveau style of the early 20th century, the Milosh estate and a chapel – tomb. And for nature lovers, it will be interesting to look at the local lake with a park.
Idolta has been known since the 16th century. At first it was the property of the Rudomins-Dusyatskys, then Stock and Sapieha. The Sapieha family also had an estate in Druja not far from here, and they sold Idolta to Joseph Milosh in 1824.
Joseph Milosh' son Yevgeny built a stone palace around 1860 in the classical style. The palace is a one-storey building with a two-storey central part, which is decorated with a triangular pediment and a portico with a balcony. The building has basements for storing supplies. Since the area near the palace was in a low part, a system of canals and sluices was created to drain the area. According to legend, Yevgeny Milosh's little son drowned in a local lake near the park and he ordered to make a hill in the form of a cross.
Several outbuildings have been preserved near the palace, including a refrigerator and a barn. The buildings are built of wood, rubble stone and brick using raisin laying.
On the shore of the lake on the peninsula in 1862, Yevgeny Milosh built a chapel–tomb. The chapel was looted in Soviet times, but has now been restored.
The owners of Idolta Miloshs are relatives of the poet Oscar Milosh and the writer, Nobel laureate Czeslaw Milosh.
The lake is also called Idolta and is 2 kilometers long. There is a footbridge across the lake.
