The Museum of Local Lore in Dobrush.

The museum began to form its funds in 2003. It consists of one main building with a demonstration area of 263 m2. The museum has five permanent exhibitions and two temporary, mobile ones. The total number of museum exhibits is more than 9,000. Today, the museum's exhibitions reflect the history of the Dobrushsky district from ancient times to the present day, tell about the local peculiarities of weaving and embroidery, about the traditions of the district and local crafts.

Permanent exhibitions:

"The ancient past of the region." It tells about the entographic and archaeological finds in the Dobrushsky district. Among the items are local icons from the early 19th century and authentic Dobrush woven belts.

"From crafts to industry" tells about the activities of a canvas manufactory, a copper smelter, a paper mill and other factories and plants in Dobrush. Among the exhibits are a pendulum clock from the late 19th century, photographs, maps.

"The History of Public Education" tells about the first schools in Dobrushchina and the activities of Ivan Shamyakin and the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus Tikhon Kiselyov.

Dobrushsky Porcelain tells about the history of the factory.

"Dobrushchina Partizanskaya" tells about the years of the Great Patriotic War and the defenders of the Dobrush land.

An interesting part of the museum's exposition consists of halls dedicated to the history of the Dobrusha paper mill, founded by Prince Ivan Paskevich in the second half of the 19th century. The exhibition tells about the main stages of the factory's development, contains product samples, parts of factory equipment, and more.

No less interesting is the part of the exposition dedicated to the activities of the Dobrush Porcelain Factory. The museum presents unique exhibits of tableware and sets, produced at the factory at different times, but not put into mass production.

Since 2008, the Vladimir Prokoptsev Art Gallery (artist, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus) has been operating at the Museum of Local Lore. There are about 60 works by famous Belarusian artists A. I. Shevchenko, A. Burenkov, I. Grigorovich, A. Pantyuk and others. Temporary exhibitions are also held.

The Museum of Local Lore participates in cultural events "Honey Savior", organizes excursions around Dobrush and the district, and the museum and educational program "My Land - you are a song and a legend" has been developed and is operating.

The Museum of Local Lore in Dobrusha is part of the tourist route "Small Golden Ring of Gomel region".  In addition, many tours of the Gomel region, weekend tours and educational tours of Belarus include visits to this museum in their programs.
