This two-storey red and white mansion, located in a shady park on the shore of a pond, was built by Prince Paskevich as a small country residence. Korenevka. Prince Paskevich's Hunting Lodge
The village of Korenevka was first mentioned in written sources from the 17th century. In 1834, the estate was acquired by Field Marshal Ivan Fedorovich Paskevich, before that the farm belonged to Count S.P. Rumyantsev, there was a distillery, stables and outbuildings. The new owner decided to make the complex residential and built a hunting lodge in 1866.
The two-storey red brick building has a rectangular shape. The main entrance is decorated with a portal with columns, above which there is a small balcony. The attic is located above. There was a park around the estate, and the main alley led to the steps of the porch. The owners of the estate often went hunting, which gave the estate its name — "Hunting Lodge".
In 1882, the prince compiled a set of rules and duties for the caretaker of the house, the huntsman. In addition to his standard duties, his tasks included looking after animals, growing new trees and plants in nurseries around the estate. The forests and the park have been preserved to this day. In the center of the complex there is a small man-made pond with clear blue water, which gives the place a special charm.
Over time, Korenevka has gone through many changes. After the revolution of 1917, the village became an administrative unit, and the "Hunting Lodge" was transferred to the management of the Korenevsky forestry. During the war years, the building was damaged by fire, but was restored. Today, the Korenevskaya Experimental Forest Base of the Institute of Forestry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is located in the former "Hunting Lodge".
