Zarechye. The Church of Peter and Paul.
Between the towns of Turets and Mir, to the left of the highway, there is a small village of Zarechye in the Korelichi district. In Zarechye, a wooden Orthodox church was built at the local cemetery, which was consecrated in honor of Peter and Paul.
The monument was erected in the traditions of Belarusian folk wooden architecture. The temple was built during the Russian Empire in 1858 from wooden beams. At that time, the church was assigned to the Ascension Church in the town of Yaremichi.
In Soviet times, after the Great Patriotic War, the church was closed. In the last years of the USSR, the shrine was handed over to the Orthodox faithful and repairs were started. In 1991, the church was restored.
The church has a rectangular structure in the plan. The building consists of two main architectural parts: a prayer hall and an apse. The main volume is covered with a gable roof. The main facade is planar, completed with a triangular pediment. A two-tiered wooden bell tower has been erected in front of the temple, which has a four-pitched tent roof. There is a bell in the bell tower. The church and bell tower have been renovated in recent years.
