Mir. Trinity Church.
In the village of Mir in the Korelichi district, everyone primarily goes to see the castle of the Radziwill magnates. On the former market square of the town, several religious buildings have been preserved to our time - houses of merchants and artisans, shopping malls.
On the east side of the former Shopping Area is the Church of the Holy Trinity, which has several centuries of history.
The temple was built during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 1530s – 1550s. The stone temple was mentioned in 1705 as the Uniate church at the Basilian monastery. The monastery was closed during the Russian Empire in 1824. And the Uniate church remained a parish church. After the prohibition of Uniatism in 1839, the shrine was handed over to Orthodox believers.
A side chapel was added to the church in 1842, which was consecrated in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In 1865, the church was significantly rebuilt after a fire. Moreover, the iconostasis and church items were saved during the fire. After the renovation, the church was consecrated again in the summer of 1868. It was consecrated by Archbishop Mikhail of Minsk. In 1873-1875, the temple was significantly rebuilt and the building was given the features of a retrospective Russian style. At the same time, the baroque appearance of the monument was lost.
