Berezhno. Church of the Mother of God of Kazan.

In the Korelichi district in the village of Berezhno there is a stone Orthodox church, which was consecrated in honor of the Kazan Mother of God.

The place was first mentioned in historical sources in the 16th century during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

In those days, Berezhno belonged to marshal dvorny Yuri Ilyinich. The place belonged to the Mir estate. There was a marina on the Neman River, where warehouses for goods were located. It was part of the Mir County in the 17th – 18th centuries. After the second partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, it became part of the Russian Empire. It was part of the Novogrudok district of the Minsk province.

The stone church of Our Lady of Kazan was built on the outskirts of the village in the 19th century. There are two versions of the temple's construction. The first version tells us that the church was rebuilt from a former stone church, possibly a Uniate one, after the suppression of the anti-Russian uprising of 1863-1864.

According to another version, merchants who passed through the village wanted to build an Orthodox church here and spent money on the construction of the temple.

The temple consists of two main parts: the vestibule and the prayer hall.
