Description
In 1968, in honor of the tenth anniversary of the founding of the village, a monument was erected behind the builders' club. This stone symbolized the rally, which became the starting point in the history of the city. When Soligorsk celebrated its twentieth anniversary, the memorial stone was moved to the square, where a special memorial place was decorated.
Today, this memorial consists of ten snow-white concrete steles radiating in different directions. These stellae resemble a flower bud, symbolizing the youth and prosperity of Soligorsk. The composition was created by architects from Minsk: Ilya Dyatlov, Ramil Maskov and Igor Pilatovich.

Soligorsk. The First Stone of Soligorsk
The city of Soligorsk is one of the youngest regional centers in the region. The history of this city began on August 10, 1958, when a rally was held near the village of Chizhevichi. Initially, the new settlement was named Novo-Starobinsk. It was located on the site of the village of Vishnevka, which by that time had already ceased to exist. Interestingly, this name has not been officially recorded anywhere, and you can only learn about it from the stories of its founders. It is noteworthy that the construction, at that time, of the working village of Soligorsk, began from the laid memorial stone. This stone is a historical symbol and an important element of the city's history. The city was officially named Soligorsk only in August 1959.
The monument in the center of Soligorsk consists of ten concrete steles that resemble unfolded flower petals. It is believed that these steles symbolize the heyday and formation of the mining town, symbolize its progress and development. They are located on a round pedestal, to which concentric steps lead. Memorial plaques are installed on each stele, which reflect information about the achievements of the construction trust No. 3, whose employees were the founders of the city. Interestingly, the plaques are constantly being updated, recording new achievements of the builders. These updates help to preserve the history and memory of important stages of the city's development.
Today, the stone of Soligorsk is one of the main monuments of the city. Many sightseeing routes begin their stories about the city from here, before moving on to other memorable places. This monument embodies the history and cultural heritage of the city, preserving the memory of those who stood at the origins of its creation. Thus, Soligorsk is not only a young city with an interesting history, but also an important cultural center that attracts many tourists.
